Dear Parent/Guardian,
This letter is in response to the recent increase of flu like illness throughout the state, county and community. Here at the Austin Area School we are making efforts to decrease the spread of all illness including the flu. I would like to encourage parents and guardians to continue to follow recommendations that have been previously sent home.
 | Please keep sick children home. If your child runs a fever they should be fever free for 24 hours with out the need for fever reducing medication prior to returning to school |
| If your child develops a fever and flu like symptoms, please contact your physician for recommendations. |
| I would continue to encourage parents and guardians to check the following web sites on a regular basis as they provide accurate and up to date information, www.cdc.gov, www.flu.gov and www.health.state.pa.us |
